ESS Bridge Program Site Leader
An ESS Bridge Program Site Leader substitute oversees the care, instruction, attendance-keeping and implementation of the Bridge Program at a school site; perform an array of duties during and after school with the goal of providing a safe and constructive environment for students participating in the District Bridge Program.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement and oversee the Bridge Program at a designated site in accordance with the guidelines of the After-School Education and Safety (ASES) grant.
- Develop a quarterly schedule of events and activities to address academic intervention and enrichment requirements using teachers, paraeducators and community-based organizations.
- Manage and maintain the attendance software system.
- Supervise and care for children during the after-school program.
- Help maintain a clean, orderly work area.
- Demonstrate an understanding, patient, respectful and receptive attitude toward students of all ages which creates a positive environment for all students.
- Attend school-site mandated meetings.
- Communicate with parents regarding student academic and social progress.
- Maintain daily records and files as directed.
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to students
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience working with school-aged children in an organized setting.
Qualification Requirements
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test
- Department of Justice Background Check
