SCHOOL NUTRITION STAFF


QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma 


REPORTS TO: School Nutrition Manager


JOB GOAL: To know and apply basic principles of food production; to know how to use and care for all food service equipment.


WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is predominantly in a standing position with exposure to frequent noise and heat. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds required. 


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 


1. Learn and apply quantity food preparation methods and procedures.  

2. Read, interpret and follow standardized recipes. 

3. Know components of reimbursable meals. 

4. Properly use and care for all equipment in the School Nutrition Department. 

5. Follow sanitation and safety procedures. 

6. Comply with policies stated in Iredell-Statesville School Nutrition. 

7. Follow work schedules and cleaning schedules as assigned by the School Nutrition Manager and/or Assistant Manager. 

8. Assist in any area in the School Nutrition Department as requested by his or her immediate superior. 

9. Communicate positively with school staff, students, parents, and visitors. 

10. Satisfactorily complete annual workshops on MSDS, fire safety training, blood-borne pathogens, portion control, and any other ISS-required trainings.
