ESS/PLI Facilitator Criteria


Who We Seek

ESS seeks a Virtual Classroom Facilitator that has a strong classroom presence, with the ability to organize a classroom to create an environment and routines where students can succeed in a digital classroom. The ideal facilitator will also have a strong grasp on using technology as a means of gathering and communicating information. 


Responsibilities

  • Establishing exemplary classroom structure and routines
  • Ensuring that all students can thrive in a digital learning environment
  • Regular communication (email and phone) with Proximity Learning teacher
  • Management of students during online class session
  • Troubleshooting of basic technology support as needed
  • Supporting enrollment of new students into Proximity Learning class by adding student information into the PLI Connect system
  • Liaison of daily attendance input into district reporting system
  • Liaison of weekly grade input from online system to district grading system
  • Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration

 

Facilitator Requirements

  • Completion of Proximity Learning, Inc. Facilitator Training and Orientation
  • Experience managing a classroom of students (preferred)
  • Ability to email, text and call the PLI teachers for open communication
  • Candidate must complete required district and state credentialing requirements (Background check, Fingerprinting)


Campus Requirements

  • Facilitators will be provided with a planning period to work on PLI classroom grades and preparation
  • Provide facilitators with access to a classroom computer to monitor the students online and input grades.
  • Access to the districts grading and attendance systems
  • Train facilitators on district grading system 
  • Ability for facilitators to join content planning meetings 


*** Additional requests for the facilitator will need to be approved prior to beginning. For example, lunch duties, car line and other outside classroom monitoring.***
